Katherine Reed is an associate professor of practice in the Missouri School of Journalism and a faculty editor at the Columbia Missourian. She teaches reporting, with a focus on public safety and health, and trauma journalism. She is also an avid cook and food tourist whose Italian-American family gave her an early start in the kitchen. @reedkath
