Andrew is from the Northwest US. and resides in London, UK, and has worked in the news industry, in commercial digital development, and with human rights organisations in the Middle East on media strategy and online security issues. He's participated in digital security panel discussions with the Frontline Freelance Register and the Guardian Project, and has appeared on Al Jazeera's Listening Post on issues around internet censorship. He also authored the digital security section of Frontline Club's white paper, "Newsgathering Safety and the Welfare of Freelancers." He encourages people to encrypt everything.
