    About the Instructor:

Carla King founded Self-Pub Boot Camp in 2010, a program of books, workshops, and virtual classes that step authors through the publishing process. Carla started self-publishing in 1994, when she was turned down by big publishing. She self-published her guidebook to bicycling the French Riviera and made enough money to return to France twice more, which helped her fall in love with the self-publishing process. With a background in technical writing and an adventurous spirit she was perfectly positioned to adopt the indie author lifestyle and to help others do it, too. Carla organizes the self-publishing track for the San Francisco and Willamette Writers conferences, and leads sessions at the Santa Barbara conference and many niche events. The 3rd edition of her Self-Publishing Boot Camp Guide for Authors, released in March, has already been downloaded by over 30,000 authors. Find out more at SelfPubBootCamp.com.
