PART 1: Newstracker
A new smartphone app and web-based system called Newstracker, built by a company called Interapt, was designed to help newsrooms connect their teams in the field with story assignments and to guide the reporters to where the news is happening. We learn how it works from Interapt Chief Executive Officer Ankur Gopal and Senior Director of Business Development Aaron Rosenberg.

PART 2: Paladin
Video production equipment continues to shrink in size. For example, a startup called Paladin Innovators has created a single device for live streaming, switching, recording and editing that fits into a backpack and can connect to multiple video sources including traditional cameras, Google Glass and iPhones. We get an overview from co-founder and Chief Technology Officer Joshua Sniffen and Production Manager Randy Ganacias.
