    In our extended studio interview, Gehring recaps the various Google tools that newsrooms are using to attract, engage with and monetize their audiences. He also explains how Google’s mission aligns with that of news organizations and how Google’s approach to big data can serve as an example.     Gehring also says in this text Q&A with Missouri Business Alert that in the future there won’t be separate broadcast and print industries, “instead there will be a news industry that is distributing content on a variety of platforms.”
