    Infographic: Top Social Sharing Trends in 2013

    For media companies and publishers looking to garner more clicks online, research on who shares content, and through which platform, is essential. This year, you might be surprised to see that fewer people are sharing content over email, and Pinterest is leading the charts with the fastest growth rate, according to the latest numbers from ShareThis, which last week released its Consumer Sharing Trends Report. Pinterest now ranks right behind Facebook and Twitter (but ahead of email) as a popular platform for people to share content. And apparently, Pinterest has Midwestern women to thank for its success.

    The below infographic, created by ShareThis, offers more interesting findings about trends in content sharing through social media in 2013.
