Rick Weiss is the founding director of SciLine, a philanthropically funded, editorially independent, free service for journalists to help them bring more credible, evidence-based information into their stories about science, health and the environment. He has more than three decades of experience in journalism and science and technology communications, including 15 years as a science reporter at the Washington Post and more than a decade leading sci-tech strategic communications and science policy work in the White House, the Department of Defense, and nonprofits.
