Peg Achterman is a professor at Seattle Pacific University. She spent 17 years in the local television news business–-much of it at KING Television in Seattle where she was a TV News Photographer, Field Producer, and Editor. Achterman earned her PhD at the University of Washington and her research examines both product and cultural changes within print and broadcast newsrooms as they incorporate web and mobile multimedia into daily news work. Her teaching duties at SPU include Fundamentals of Digital and Online Media, Convergence Journalism, and Media Literacy.
