    Quality journalism, hard-nosed reporting and analysis, is something we count on to keep a check on politicians, to deliver important breaking news from faraway places and to help us stay informed as citizens. And yet, as the business models shift for traditional journalism outlets, the foundation to support quality journalism gets shakier. What can we do as a community of readers to support journalism? Pay a fee? Become a member, NPR-style? Look at more ads and click on them on our favorite news sites? Take a survey?
