We know now that the London 2012 games were indeed the “social” Olympics, but what is the result of the unprecedented connection to the Games via social media? Who did we watch? Where did we watch? How did we watch?
The infographic below from AddThis, a social sharing and targeting platform, seeks answers to that question. The report spans from July 27 to August 9, 2012, and measured the searches, shares, social referrals and other signals across more than 14 million unique domains and 300 social services. The AddThis platform covers 1.3 billion people a month and was able to capture the reactions and emotions around key events during the Games.
