Events Intern

PBS MediaShift has an opening for an events intern. The position requires roughly 7 hours of work per week. This internship will support events management at MediaShift, with a strong emphasis on outreach for potential attendees. Pay will include bonuses based on registrations.

Duties:

* Assist executive editor and events manager on outreach for upcoming events.
* Help with some editing and writing for events pages.
* Write preview posts for upcoming events.

Qualifications

Successful candidates will demonstrate a high level of interest and competency with communications, social media, events production, digital media and related topics. Experience with the WordPress platform is a plus.

Compensation

$250 per month, with bonuses based on registration sign-up targets.

Potential starting date: June 18, 2014.

Length of internship: Through the summer, and possibly beyond.
