EducationShift Editor / Curator

MediaShift is looking for an EducationShift Curator / Editor who will help run our EducationShift section, editing contributions, writing pieces and running our #edshift chats on Twitter. The main responsibility will include editing and writing for the EducationShift section, making sure we have at least two original stories per week. Other responsibilities include running a monthly Twitter chat at #edshift, and writing our weekly Journalism Education newsletter, which includes links to top stories around the web. This is a contract job that you can do from your own home or office.

Hours: About 40 hours per month

Job Requirements

> 3 years of experience teaching, working or learning in a journalism or communication school setting
> Excellent curation, communication, writing and community-building skills
> Knowledge of the state of current journalism education, especially innovative projects
> Knowledge of and contacts at various American and global journalism and communication schools
> Experience building and sparking discussions on social media
