Collaborative Journalism Summit
May 4-5, 2017
The Collaborative Journalism Summit is an international symposium focused on collaborative reporting projects and cooperative news networks. The summit is set for May 4-5 on the campus of Montclair State University, about 35 minutes west of New York City. Journalists, media executives, technologists, academics and students will gather to discuss best practices, new research, case studies and more.

APRIL 2017

18th International Symposium on Online Journalism
April 21-22, 2017
Blanton Museum of Art at the University of Texas, Austin
Since 1999, editors, producers, executives and academics from around the country (and lately from around the world) have gathered in Austin every year (except 2000) to discuss the evolution of this new genre of journalism. The Symposium has been a small, but very intense conference that serves as a barometer for the state of Online Journalism.

Media Innovation Summit
April 22, 2017

Convene a one-day summit of thought and action leaders using a workshop format to create strategies for addressing the lack of positive representation of people of color in mainstream media. The workshop will use human-design centered principles to create solutions for storytelling and inclusive communications that support founders and communities of color in creating media innovations to tell more diverse stories.
