Title: Getting Started With Virtual Reality
Instructor: Robert E. Gutsche, Jr. and the Mobile Virtual Reality Lab, Florida International University
This session focuses on introducing new users to emerging virtual reality technology. Participants will learn the differences in forms and types of virtual reality, learn about the latest in VR equipment and software, become exposed to possibilities for beginning their own virtual reality efforts in affordable and accessible ways. Participants should leave the session with an understanding of pre- and post-production elements of virtual reality creation, how to proceed on securing technology, and the current ethical and professional challenges related to this new form of storytelling.
