Social media videos are huge — and getting even bigger, as billions of people are mesmerized by the videos that roll every day in their Facebook, Twitter or Snapchat feeds. In an #EdShift chat on Tuesday, Nov. 1, we’ll dig into what to know about creating video for social media consumption, tools to use and ways to encourage viewers to watch longer.

The chat will start at 1 p.m. Eastern time/Noon Central/10 a.m. Pacific on Tuesday, and you can find it by searching for the #EdShift Twitter hashtag.

Guests will include Sara Dickinson Quinn of Kansas State University, Rebecca Haggerty of the University of Southern California, Jennifer Rizzi of Videolicious, Joe Portnoy of the U.S. Department of Education, Madison Mills of the New York Times, Thomas Kelley of Kivvit, online video consultant Lisa Larson-Kelley, Robb Montgomery of the Smart Film School, Alex Janin of AJ+, Eric Morrow of Circa and more. The chat will be moderated by Stacy Forster of UW-Madison.
