DBW E-Book Bestsellers: ‘Girl on the Train’ Hits Seventh Week at No. 1

Even though a new title by best-selling author Erik Larson is close on its heels, “The Girl on the Train” refuses to be unseated from the No. 1 spot it’s held on the E-book Best-Seller List for seven weeks in a row.

As we’ve noted before, the title’s success comes despite being unconnected with a movie or TV adaptation, which many other best-selling e-books are. By comparison, take “The Longest Ride” by best-selling novelist Nicholas Sparks, which debuts at No. 7 this week, three weeks before a film version hits theaters.

The average price of a best-selling e-book ticks upward from last week‘s $6.47 to $6.99.
