On Tuesday, Feb. 24, our #EdShift chat will cover the future of professional photojournalism. Join us at 1 p.m. Eastern Time / 12 p.m. Central Time / 10 a.m. Pacific Time as we discuss uncertainties about careers in photojournalism in a media landscape more visual than ever. Despite wildly popular technologies like Instagram and increased use of images by audiences, some news organizations (Sports Illustrated, most recently) are retreating from full-time photo staffs, leading to all sorts of questions and criticisms. What does this mean for photojournalism and for educators and students?
