The e-book is also being propelled by a low price. Readers snapped it up last week at $4.99.
Meanwhile, the average price of a bestselling e-book has edged up to $7.52, up from $6.96 last week. Throughout this calendar year, the average price of a bestselling e-book has been between $6.00 and $8.00. When it comes to high-priced e-books on this week’s bestseller list, Penguin Random House and Simon & Schuster lead the way; they are the only two publishers with titles priced above $10 this week.
