One of the biggest changes in the news industry is the overwhelming number of sources we now have for news. What used to be the sole domain of newspapers, radio and TV has exploded into breaking news accounts coming from Twitter, Facebook, police scanners, Instagram and so many other digital platforms. When eyewitnesses of a big news event like the recent plane crash at San Francisco International Airport can capture video and then post it online or sell it to CNN, that means more people are capturing news and sharing it like never before. So how does that change how you follow breaking news? Where do you turn first? To talk to friends on social media? To follow cable news or radio? Vote in our poll and share your extended thoughts in the comments.
